The U.S. Department of State's Expo Unit, in collaboration with the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council, and local partners in New York, Houston, Detroit, San Francisco, and Palo Alto, has organized a series of info sessions to raise awareness about the opportunities of participating in or supporting the USA Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. Expo 2020 will be the first Expo or World's Fair in the Middle East, North Africa, or South Asia and during the six months is expected to attract 25 million visitors, including 7 million to the USA pavilion.
On February 16, 2018 the Federal Register published a Request for Proposal (#2018-03116) for the USA Pavilion closing on April 17, 2018. The USA Pavilion's architecture and design should communicate American progress, ingenuity, and innovation in social, physical, and mechanical mobility in commerce and the arts. We hope that institutions and individuals from the museum and exhibits community will consider joining a consortium to bid on the project, contribute content for the pavilion, or think about supporting the activity in other ways.
