We've been approached by a separate non-profit institution to display an art object created to commemorate an anniversary for their organization. (These objects have been sponsored and will later be auctioned off, with funds to support this non-profit.)
The idea is modeled off of those public art projects many cities have hosted with temporary sculptures, painted by artists, and then publicly displayed.
There is concern amongst the staff that we will be opening ourselves up to fundraising displays of many types and that we might have more requests than we could grant.
I'm looking for an example policy that would address this kind of partnership with another non-profit that might address:
1. Waiver of liability for damage to the object
2. Time, place, size and manner limits (e.g. for no more that one month, no larger than 30" x 30" x 30")
3. Sponsor acknowledgement limitations (e.g. no 4 foot vinyl banners)
4. Potential limitations to non-profit partners that share mission priorities (e.g. arts & culture)
5. Benefits to both institutions for partnering in this way
6. Content limitations (e.g. nudity, appropriate to venue)
Would anyone have a policy (even one vaguely related) that you would be willing to share?
Thank you!
