The Great Curatorial Dim-Out
by Lawrence Alloway
should be read by all curators, museum publishers, exhibition makers. His insight and ethical stance about market forces is especially relevant today, and despite the fact he missed a sea change with how the after-the-fact, exhibition rotation-documenting Richard Tuttle catalogue by Marsha Tucker/the Whitney marked a sea change, it's worth hearing the thoughts of an excellent exhibition maker who helped usher in earlier sea changes.

Subject: Exhibition Articles: Golden Oldies and New Hits?
I'm seeking a "top 20" (or so) list of articles written on the subject of exhibition development and design. What articles do you think established our practice? Which have stood the test of time? Which ones have advanced our field?
Do you have an old article that you've filed under "wish I had written that" or a new article that especially resonates for you?
Let me know!
